S. Sridhar, is a distinguished Indian banker of about fifty years professional experience in commercial and development banking with insightful knowledge of financial markets in India and globally. He was Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India and earlier of National Housing Bank, India’s mortgage regulator which was then fully owned by Reserve Bank of India. He also worked with State Bank of India, India’s largest commercial bank and Export Import Bank of India where he was the Executive Director and No 2 . Mr. Sridhar is well networked in Indian industry and business circles, regulators, policy makers, professionals as also with international banks and development finance institutions. He was a member of the Managing Committee of the Indian Banks Association, Indian Merchants Chamber ( immediate past president of BFSI Committee) and the Emerging Markets Council of the Institute of International Finance, Washington D C. Mr Sridhar was / is on the Boards of some leading Indian companies , as a non-executive, independent Director / Chair. He is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Austrian Anadi Bank Ltd. a full service universal bank in In addition Mr Sridhar consults on strategy, capital raising, sustainable investing etc. with financial institutions, business groups, foreign government bodies. He has been a strategy adviser to the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, Essar Group, Muthoot Pappachan Group, India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (a Govt of India enterprise) etc.
